A “Field
Day on Drip Irrigation in Mirbachakot District” was successfully conducted by
JICA funded Capacity Development for Irrigation Directorate Project (CDIS
Output 2) on Tuesday, May 17th, 2016.
About sixteen
(16) participants from ID and farmers from Shaheedullah Irrigation Scheme
participated in the field day.
The
main objective of this field day was to provide an opportunity for the targeted
staff of MAIL/ID and farmer community of Shaheedullah Irrigation Scheme to practically
examine the installation of Drip Irrigation Systems in the demo plot
established by CDIS project. Farmers were also invited to encourage them to
apply the same knowledge on other fields.
After
this training, the participants acquired the basic understanding of drip
irrigation system. The training has also enhanced knowledge of participants on
the subject.
